About the roastery

The roastery is a private company that was formed in 2014. Our goal is to roast and deliver high quality arabica coffee from the birth place of coffee Ethiopia. So essentially what you hold will be the same high quality coffee they held in their hands 2000 years ago. When you drink our coffee you drink history and it tastes good!

We have opened a store on Fleminggatan 53 in Stockholm.

Story about the origin of coffee

The art of making coffee began in Ethiopia. It was in Ethiopia the envigorating powers of the little bean were first discovered 2000 years ago. Coffee remained a cherished local secret for a 1000 years. The knowledge then spread outside the Ethiopian borders to Arabia and via Turkey to Europe and the rest of the world. It was a slow journey that took almost 500 years. But the way coffee is cultivated in Ethiopia has not changed. It is still a mostly manual process that requires great care and attention.
